Overhead Arm Support
The Overhead Arm Support is the ideal radiology positioning device to secure your patient in the arms overhead position to improve access and imaging.
The MR safe, Overhead Arm Support is the ideal solution for managing a patient’s arms during Magnetic Resonance, C-Arm and CT imaging procedures. It allows good access to the patient’s abdomen and removes unwanted image artefacts caused when the arms are left by their side.
The ergonomic design comfortably and securely supports the arms of a supine patient above their head, eliminating the extreme shoulder flexion that can be challenging for those with limited mobility. This means you no longer have to keep moving the arms up and down.
Capable of holding one or both arms in the supine position, and a single-arm when using the posterior oblique position, the Overhead Arm Support is a suitable patient positioning device for patients under general anaesthesia, or those who may fall asleep during a procedure.
Soft, pliable, latex-free polyurethane straps may be used for additional patient safety and comfort. The straps are easily installed and adjusted to loosely contain the patient’s arm, providing complete support by preventing displacement and aiding patient assurance.
The Overhead Arm Support has been designed for use with existing lab and imaging equipment and fits within the bore of a 70cm CT and MRI centre and can be used with any C-Arm imaging centre.
